The Positive Prime, a book of Poetry Page 4
But still exist alone.
No limit or limitations
But only is and is always real.
Truth has no reality,
Because it cannot be captured
And placed in a bottle,
AND IT LIVES BY ITS DEEDS ALONE,
Each and every day!
Faith on the other hand
Is what truth is not?
(Faith is the heart, the unreal.
It is the imagination brought to life.
Faith is hope and consequence;
The hope that we give in to
And the consequences that we are
Willing to have no matter what the
Truth really is.)
THE PROMISE
If the truth of the son of god&
For god so loved the world
That he gave his&son,
That who ever believe
In him shall not perish
But have everlasting life!
John: 3:16
&That it makes more and more sense
That our only worries as human beings, is not about the after life
But, that we use this time here to better life and the existences
We have each day.
For our rewards are guaranteed
And promised
If we only believe them
Our testament (here) lies solely in
Each other,
One unto another!
THE TRUTH
In all our beliefs
All creeds and colors-
Our religions talk of God,
That this is our truth,
That He is God!
But all I hear
From what he says,
Is not He-
But it is he.
For all we do not know
Or understand
And search, we explain
And think,
About God,
The truth is always
That there exists the devil!
It seems all the scriptures
Says is not God-
It says beware of Satan!
Not to follow him.
Truth is relative,
It may falter within our state of mind.
The devil character is a constant -
TRUTH-
THE CALLING
There is the calling,
The truth that is undeniable
But the truth that is magical,
And even has a life of its own.
It is a truth that is even
Untrue to itself,
Because it has many sides
And it is singular.
Like a geometric truth
Or a scientific theorem,
Proven and then unproven-
Discovered and then rediscovered.
It only leads to more uncertainty.
But our calling is that we
Must search not to search
Anymore!
To be called is
Really, not to have any answer!
SELF ID
We are I - people.
I see the world outside
Through my eyes only
With my preconceptions
(Even if I do not understand them)
I can only imagine what it is-
Looking back at me?
I walk this earth longing
To find myself, my soul,
But never, can I find that out there!
A fool tells me
It is all inside of me.
Well-
I am already.
What I look for is my mirror-image
To show that picture of me
That I can only imagine,
But those others can see.
When I do see myself
Or hear or feel myself,
I am terrified, to know-,
Like I see the face of God!
Knowledge and wisdom
Is only the tip of the iceberg
(To enlightenment)
Self identity!
It is at the eyes of another.
UNDERSTANDING THE UNIVERSE
Universally, God is everything that Man is not.
What a man cannot do is what God can.
Whatever a man is, is what a god does not
Want to be.
God has but one rule-
That a man acts as a man.
A man has but one desire-
And that is to become a god.
(God is where a man's destiny lies. And
Of course, God determines all destinies-
His Included; otherwise,
He is not God, but merely us.)
Humility is a man being a man
Leave behind the kid within.
Arrogance is when we think we can be
A child forever-
If God is truly who He is
Then, he can never be touched.
And only He can reach us.
We talk about having "our space (or Space),"
He has a space where we don't go;
Just as we each need our space.
I believe that He gives us our space-
And that is how we are ourselves-
-A human being.
-Understanding the universe
Is simply understanding
The air that we breathe
We cannot always see it,
But we always know that it is there-
ENDLESS LOVE
"That it lives"
(God is Love)
It is not the struggle,
It is not the conquest,
It is not the enjoyment,
It is that life goes on.
It is not the meaning,
It is not the pain,
And it is not even the history,
It is that life remains-
It is those who go on to live,
It is the children,
It is the future of it all,
"That it lives!"
If that breath is so precious,
And that time so dear;
Then it is "that" beauty,
That we leave (here).
There is nothing better than that!
I will meet you at the first day
That we met,
Not the last.
It is all we give to each other,
That our lives share together:
I am only as good as I am
Good to you.
We are all good because of that!
There is a part of me
That I cannot let go,
But there remains a part
That is forever between us two.
It is our love together
That gives life to our self.
That gives life to us all.
-For James I. Green, (1933-2006)-
TALENT
Talent is what makes each of us
Our individual selves,
Meaning that, everyone has some.
Talent is an energy that moves
From place to place,
Moment to moment-
Talent is like a light
That is invisible,
Yes! Invisible light,
One of those things
That one day we will be able
To place a rate to; measure on a scale,
In units,
And put a point of beginning and ending to.
It is not difficult to understand.
In today's world
We mass produce talent-
The music sounds the same.
Intellect, acting, and in sports, all are big businesses.
Talent is for sale!
It is no mystery or wonder
That we criticize the salaries
That talent makes- too much! Too little
"I'd pay money-"
Talent is a commodity.
One day soon,
Someone will discover talent-
(Maybe because talent is a science
Whose presence will be at last found)?
But I want to be the one who gets the credit
As the first one who has talent.
So to speak!
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT
Sometimes the very product
Of all the effort
Produces what it is we try to avoid.
They become one in the same.
We repeat it over and over again
Until the beginning becomes the end
There remains no difference
But the inevitable-
The worst of our fears-
We are what we would defy
It was said,
We are what we eat.
What will goes inside us
Become the same
As what comes out.
During the process
The slave
Becomes the master,
The folly is in the numbers.
So
There is always another day
And another chance to right
The wrongs.
Our trial,
As the naive believes,
Are without end.
Everything has its end.
So,
Everything has to also begin
The beginnings make things happen.
Just as we cannot get fat
If we do not eat,
We still do get fat
When we eat too much
Still, we have to be careful
What we eat
But what we eat
Is not the worry
Eating too much is.
When it comes to eating
The end does justify the means.
Life is more than the path
Life is the sum of the existences.
It is real
From birth to death
Each person's life
Is with the total
Of all life;
The complete
Human experience!
We refuse to believe in anything less
Than ourselves
Me in me with you in you,
Because there is only one good
There is only one truth,
We have it so easy-
But we stand to lose it all
Times the very number
Of people who
Do not have a life.
One bad in the bunch
Spoils it for us all,
It is your duty!
Not to be that one who does that.
Live well!
THE CREAM IN-BETWEEN
It takes the cream on the top
That makes it butter.
We experience our dreams
Everyday!
We live them.
There is an upside to our dreams
But there is also a downside.
What happens to everybody else?
We really do not care!
Our selfish reality is making it.
But who makes us?
It is the selflessness-
(How much we are willing to give up.)
We speak of downsizing
The trickle- down theories
Can they ever bring it down?
We all have to get down
-And get out-
But it always rises back
To the top
Back there in our dreams.
We know top from bottom
Never will the two meet.
But there is a cream in-between
Where we see eye to eye,
And head to head.
There is that cost to be the boss
There is also no price you pay-
When on top!
Top is the tops.
And everything else
Its worth less.
If control is your freak
Then, it is not the top
You seek,
But go for the cream
In-between;
It holds the dream of a better world.
DEVIL & ANGEL
(A Love Poem)
It is why I hold you near,
Why I hold you dear?
If ever asked,
Why I love you dear?
It is because I found my angel
The avenger of my soul,
Love of life itself.
It grows deeper these words of love.
Time plays a trick.
I have heard it too much.
The volume is just a replacement for wealth
And material values.
But my hearts sings out
This song forever;
It sings by choice.
You are the devil and you are my angel,
An avenger for my soul
Cast down your power
Cause yours I have equals
My story has sequels,
More and more...
If one is one number
It is just one from the rest.
No numbers have any meaning
And this is not a test.
We are not as one
As they always say
I know me and you
Thats at least the number two
(Why not use two?)
It is the love and hate
That creates what we are
Maybe love or
Maybe just all that hate, my real self.
But in all this world
If there is an emotion
To me and to you
That emotion is called us
My devil will do its bidding
My angel comforts its thoughts
Love or hate has the power,
But you are a redeemer of my soul.
WHAT YOU GOING TO DO?
What will you do?
With all that power
I give to you?
When I exposed myself-
In all my nakedness to you!
You can see me for all
I am.
I am innocence to your every desire.
How will you act?
Holding everything in your hands
It is you, who make decisions,
It is your entire plan.
How far will you let it go?
How much can I do?
Just for your pleasure and
By your will,
Only God the father is greater!
But you I do fill-
Do not ask me to be a man!
What are you going to do?
I am just holding hands.
It is simple.
It is as it is or as we imagine
How it really is?
Believe in less than half of
That, which is seen,
Believe in none of it.
It is simple,
We are who we are not.
Greater is the matter
When it matters!
-And if all is vanity,
Then it is your vanity woman
That makes the man!
(What you going to do?)
Chapter 4-
WORD ON THE STREET
I KNOW ALL THEY PULL
(It Isnt Dunbar, P.L.)
I have seen them walk the streets at night.
I have seen
The blind fear of fearlessness of that night.
I have heard the cry of a million voices
And I cringe at my feet.
If a dollar was there,
It would be easier.
If we all were there,
It would be a third world country.
I cannot cry any longer,
Or hurt any stronger,
That life has so little
Of meaning to us
We struggle everyday
(Each and everyone),
And send up a million prayers
To God, that in the lottery of life,
But a few wil
l win
And fewer learn,
While less and less care.
I know what they pull!
As he cashed-in all his tickets
Only to lose once again!
It is a fool's paradise!
Where we bow to sin,
If the others are so wrong
How can we tell?
If we see the bondage
That we are not in,
But for all those bags
That we carry?
I know my burden
Not to be light, but heavy!
If he carries a cross
Then why does it still hurt?
I know all the homeless pull!
Because he still finds,
No more room at the inn.
Surely, it is a lot of bull
Which they and we all pull!
And no I am not the innkeeper!
But, now, is a homeless beggar to blame?
Is a child at fault?
Is the poor responsible?
And does the stupid have any excuse?
If you can answer, "yes" to any of these questions
Then you also know (all) what they pull-
End Homelessness!
The truth about that dollar is:
Can it change any thing? Yes definitely!
It can also merely change into four quarters,
Or ten dimes, twenty nickels, one hundred pennies, two half dollars
Or one dollar coin piece.
That's some changing too!
NEW YORK CITY WINTER
In the streets at night
Very few people are out there
The empty streets one
Left in the cold
I go to the shelter.
All the days are filled with millions
Flocking the streets again
To go to work
I am then one lonely
To that crowd
Me and my bags
The afternoon, the aftermath
Of all my wearing
To the streets I am a child,
Going on nowhere
I am nobody.
New York City winter
Brings a tear to my eyes
To see and hear people moan
Be no one.
New York City winter
Laughs in your faces
To share the snow
With rest the world.
POETS AND PROPHETS
I am not your sacrificial lamb
I just refuse to be
You are not powerful
Not important.
Your secret sociality
They live a lie.
The evil that is, will remain
As a testament to what
We do know that we do not know
Like the murder of lives,
Who we agree do not matter anyway-
